DescriptionA decorative, tortoise shell comb. The com features 9 teeth (orignially 11, 2 are missing) and an elaborately embellished crest. The crest features a combination of openwork and relief carving of symmetrical floral and vegetal motifs. Notable are two cornicopia horns at the center. There are 6 mended areas on the back where small pieces of tortoise shell are nailed across cracks.
