DescriptionEarthenware. "Creamware", "Lustred wares." Cream colored paste, lead and flint glaze. Sides have two delicately drawn landscapes painted over the glaze in purple ink on a cream ground. The larger shows a cathedral, with lake and trees, and a man on a horse in the foreground. The neck and handle are painted with bands of lilac lustre, and underneath the spout is a conventional spray of grapes and leaves painted in lilac lustre. Transfer printed, not drawn.
