DescriptionTea caddy with no cover. Porcelain, hard paste. Straight walls with rounded shoulder, cylindrical neck. Cover missing. Slight ridge running up sides and neck. Feldspathic glaze. Decorated with overglaze opaque enamels: border on shoulder consists of two black lines with gilt between, pendant semicircles in black, and another black line; on front and back a crest device consisting of shield with two birds facing one another in black, standing on a diagonally striped black and gold bar; black bow at top of shield, shield surrounded by black and gold drapery tied at top with black bow. Border of black husks around base.
