DescriptionEarthenware, tin enameled. Light yellow clay body, fired to a close consistency. Glaze only slightly bluish. Painted in gray blue with a design that is much like a Chinese allegory. Border is plain. Center panel shows a deer and doe beside a Chinese screen and beneath a spray of peonies and foliage. Few buildings and trees are in the distance.
