Description8th Army Air Corps uniform- coat, shirt, tie, and hat. Shortwaisted green wool coat (A) with two pockets on either side of front. Two round brass pins on either side of collar, one reading "US" and the other has a propeller with wings motif. Also on front of coat is a striped ribbons pin with six bronze battle stars and a rectangular pin with brass frame enclosing blue silk. On both arms, sergeant chevron patches with three yellow stripes. On upper left arm, round blue patch of the 8th Air Corp depicting a yellow "8" with wings and a white and red star. On lower right arm is an Army Air Force Engineering Specialist patch- an inverted blue triangle enclosing a yellow gear.
Short-sleeve white cotton button-down shirt (B) with sergeant chevron patches on each sleeve, and the round blue patch of the 8th Air Corp on left sleeve. Tie (C) is a plain tan long tie. Hat (D) is plain green/brown wool garrison style cap with pink and blue piping. The interior features a leather hat band and a black satin lining.
