DescriptionLetterpress and manuscript on paper. Notation on top, "2d Notice." "Mr Allen French/ At a meeting of the Concord Antiquarian Society, Oct 10, 1898, you were admitted a member of that Society. The entrance fee is two dollars, which is to be paid to the Treasurer at the time of signing the By-Laws. If you accept membership in the Society, please notify the Secretary in writing, or call at J.C. Friend's Store and sign the Membership Book, which is deposited with him. Yours respectfully, Geo. Tolman, Secretary." Handwritten note from Tolman at bottom, "I will have the membership book at the meeting next Monday evening."
