DescriptionSilk purse or bag. Worked in polychrome silk thread; three-part construction: at the top, a piece worked in horizontal bands, one band with the inscription worked in. This same band has two button holes, one on the vertical seam, for the (missing) drawstring. This piece is seamed to the lower section of vertical bands of geometric and floral patterns, gathered to a circular paper, woven silk, and knit panel which forms the bottom.
