DescriptionSilver tankard made by Samuel Minott (1732-1803) and William Simpkins (1704-1780) at Simpkins' shop in Boston. Tankard has a maker's mark for both Minott and Simpkins on the underside of the base, and there are three initials on the handle, "S" "S" and "A," for Solomon Smith and Ann Talcott. Tankard has soldering marks on the lid and base.
