DescriptionLeather label for Thoreau's walking stick (Th34). Reddish leather, rectangular in shape with trimmed corners, two rips/cracks on one end a small hole on one end presumably for attaching label. On label written in ink reads, "Thoreau's Walking Stick. [Given by his] sister Sophia to H.G.O. Blake, and by him to E.H. Russell. (1898)." On the back in black ink reads, "Given by me to Lee Russell. Dec. 31, 1912. E.H.Russell." Found in object accession file in 2023.
