Description"Gros point Embroidery". Needlepoint, black background. Deer, antlered, worked in shades of brown, red tongue--showing just the head and shoulders. At the bottom of the shoulders is a spray of leaves and two roses worked in red and pink, and several foget-me-nots. Below this the date 1882 is worked in red and pink. There is a jagged border of red and pink and at the top above the deer G.H. Bates, worked in red and pink.
