DescriptionEngraving on paper, hand-colored, one of four prints (Pi800-Pi803). The engravings illustrate James Thomson's poem "The Seasons," a work that was very popular in both United States and England. In the border of each is engraved an appropriate verse from Thomson's "Seasons." Frame is 1 1/4" wooden molding, with gilt beaded inner and outer borders. Published 12 May, 1794 by Laurie and Whittle.
