DescriptionHollow cut, white paper on black. Bust, 2 3/8" Small for a King bust. No brush work. The tiny hollow-cut neck tie is a characteristic touch. Framed in black painted solid wood frame with oval opening.
William King depended for resemblance upon the unadorned line. His bust-line varies, but his profiles are usually stamped either "W. King" or "King". Only about 25 King profiles are known outside of the four in this collection. No brush work. The little hollow-cut forelock is a characteristic of many King profiles.
