DescriptionPaper stencil. Botanical or fruit shaped cutouts (strawberries or berries), with red, green, and brown paint or ink. Written in top left in ink is "No. 5." Part of a collection of stencils. Large stencils (PI1199A - PI1199W); small stencils (PI1199X-Z and PI1199AA-WA); drawings (PI1199GA, PI1199.1A.29 - PI1199.1A.32, PI1199.1A.35, PI1199.1A.42-.43, and PI1199.1A.45-.47). The items are undated, but assumed late 19th century by the paper and handwriting. Majority of the stencils appear to have been used many times with various colors of reds, greens, yelows, and browns painted around stencil openings.
