DescriptionSuitcase or carpet bag made of "gros-grain" carpet woven with a floral design of greens, reds and browns, on a tan ground. The bag features two leather handles at the top and a flat leather bottom with five metal knob feet. At the top of the bag is a hinged metal frame with a lock and key (PER806.2) at the center. On one side of the frame is a lock plate, at the other is an engraved brass plate with the text: "A. Pratt Concord Mss. 1852" as well as a leaf and bird head motif.
