The message "Be Thou /my soul" is printed on an image of an open book at the center. A label applied to the interior is printed with the text: "BE MY VALENTINE / If thy warm heart responsive feels / One tithe of what this verse reveals, / O, drop your precious little glove, / I'll drop the G, and call it love; / Or cough or sneeze or make som sign / that you will be my valentine."
