DescriptionCandlesnuffers and tray (H1006, H1007). Painted tin tray; white metal snuffers. A fine example of the painted decoration of the period. The background of the tray is black edged with gold. The decoration consists of flower and foliage groups in gold with a little red and blue (much faded) enamel. Snuffers have corrugated handles, and finger holds in the shape of teardrops. The finger holds form a heart shape between them when closed.
