Description8 1/2 inches tall, 8 1/8 inches across bowl, lead glass. Heavy square glass base (was smoothed off in late years as it did not stand level). Heavy solid round straight glass stem. The Bowl is decorated with a cut design of festoons, and around the top is a border of ovals. Irish, early 19th century. Bowl handblown and engraved. Base was pressed in an early version of a glass press which looked somewhat like a lemon squeezer and imported the shape and pattern to the base.
