DescriptionTop section of a chest of drawers. Walnut veneered on pine. Drawers are veneered with burl walnut and are bordered with bands of veneer in the herringbone design. A single-arch moulding surrounds the drawers and outlines the frame. The cornice is in the simple early form, the mouldings consisting of a quarter round, a fillet, and a cyma recta. Drop handles fastened with cotter pins (original). Stamped brass plates and escutcheons.
