DescriptionWoman's bonnet made of natural straw. The hat features a large red ribbon that runs over the crown and hangs down on two sides, tied toward the bottom. On the underside of the brim is a semi-circle of magenta silk flowers. The bonnet has been squashed toward the bottom and stitched together in a fold. The object's tag states that the hat was redone to look c. 1830. Possibly for theater.
