DescriptionMourning hat, wide brimmed black crepe with large bow of black net in front. The hat has a straight sided crown with a flat top. Inner draw string used to fit head. The interior is lined with black satin. A maker's mark on the inside of the crown, embroidered in silver reads: "Crocker / COPLEY SQUARE / BOSTON". The hat is accompanied by veil Cos64.1b.
