DescriptionEarthenware. Printed in green in front reads: Franklin's Maxim's. On one side, a scene of ditch diggers: your tools without mittens, remember the cat in gloves catches no mice. Chopping wears away stones & little stokes fell great oaks [sic]. On other side, the front of a jail, reads: For age and want save while you may/ No morning sun lasts all the day/ Experience keeps a dear school but fools will learn in no other.
