DescriptionEarthenware, soft paste. Creamer (C646) and cup (no handle) and saucer (C647). Transfer printed under glaze, blue on white. "Thomas the Rhymer" is shown walking through the night with his harp, preceeded by two deer. Landscape background showing hills and a castle with three men and a horse in the distance. Two of the men are carrying torches. The moon shines above. Border of two rows of alternating painted leaves. Cup and creamer have a scroll and flower border outside this painted border.
