DescriptionPhoto postcard of bed with painted wooden cornice and crewelwork hangings of embroidered linen, New England, 1760-1785 from the Henry Francis Du Pont Winterthur Museum. Postcard is stamped November 1958 from Wilmington, Delaware. Inscribed in graphite on verso is, "This is it! / We are here! / M" on the left, and addressed, "Mrs. Allen French / Nashawtuc(?) Rd / Concord / Mass." Part of a collection of items related to and used for historical costume research. The items are stored in a flat, rectangular box with a white, leather textured exterior and a separate lid.
