DescriptionLetterpress on paper; black leather binding with heavy gilt floral decoration and title. Gilt title also on title page. Throughout the book are bookplates (engravings) of various subjects; the rest of the pages are blank and were used for copying poems in manuscript. Inserted between pp 15 and 16, is a poem written on the back of a notice: "Office of H.W. Holland/ Patent Attorney/ No. 19 Court Street, Boston." Newspaper clippings (mostly poetry) are also pasted into the scrapbook. Inserted before p 40 is a pencil drawing of two little girls, on the steps of a stone arch. Inserted before p. 47, pencil drawing of a set of Gothic ruins. p. 50 is a curious drawing of various calling cards, with names and dates written on them.
