Each page contains a photograph and a description or saying handwritten below photo. Third page of the album. The black and white photograph at top of the page depicts the Millbrook, a large elm tree stands in the center. In the distance on the left center side a house can be seen. Page reads, "Going to work(?), "Millbrook" knows not an / idle town. Howing through long wide meadows, cool, clear, wispy(?), / it seeks the shade of overarching elms and willows and pans / between grassy banks, a typical New England brook. / Emerson often walked beside it, part of his / land was watered by it./ In days of long ago his children with / those of Alcott and Hawthorne, sailed their boats on the / swiftly moving waters. Don't(?) live in it/ Meadow larks and Bobolinks build their nests near it."
