Descriptionhand-built coil pot is a replica of a 500-year-old example now in the Robbins Museum. It is made of clay from the cliffs on the beach at Manomet tempered with crushed shells, formed in the coil method, then sun-dried and pit-fired. Kerri Helme, Mashpee Wampanoag, has been making pottery for 16 years.
