DescriptionEnvelope containing ration stamps from World War II. The envelope (A) is addressed to Jesse Potter, 16 Lexington Road, Concord; return address from Concord Rationing Board No. 99, Walden Street, Concord; postmarked Nov 20, 1942. The envelope contains two nearly full sheets of "V-Fuel Oil Ration" stamps (B-C) that have a handwritten ledger of the number of stamps used. There are several detached ration stamps (D-G) and an instructions sheet (H) on how to use the ration stamps. The envelope also contains invoices (I-L) for the purchase of oil from the Bursaw Gas & Oil Co. in West Acton.
