DescriptionWatercolor (gouache) on paper. Image of a sailing military and trading ships, in a storm. Some ships are flying American flags (possibly the "Philadelphia" and the "Essex"); other ships possibly from Algiers and Sweden. Possibly off the shore of Cadiz, Spain (similar architecture), near Trafalgar. Attribution to Corne by David Wood (6/2008). Similar to paintings by George Ropes (1788-1819). In a metal (brass?) frame with two hanging loops attatched to top beam.
