DescriptionOvershot woven coverlet. Woven cotton and wool coverlet, geometric design in olive green and burnt orange, creating a slight variation in overall color. From 1989 exhibition: this coverlet is made in an overshot weave with a cotton warp and with green and rust color wool weft yarns. The overshot woven coverlet was the most popular bedcovering in the nineteenth century because it was inexpensive and readily available.
