"Thursday, May 24, 1917 at 8:00 pm. Huntington Hall, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 491 Boylston St., Boston. Henry David Thoreau, 1817-1917. A meeting in commemoration of the one hundredth anniversary of Thoreau's death. Dr. Edward Waldo Emerson, of Concord, who was a boyhood friend of Thoreau's, will give some personal recollections of Thoreau, after which Mr. Herbert W. Gleason, a Club member will throw on the screen a series of colored views, taken in Concord, illustrating many of Thoreau's nature-descriptions. This is a card of invitation. No ticket is necessary for admission."
