DescriptionCameo-like pendant, with carved alabaster in the image of a cupid with bow and arrow. Set in a heavy gold setting. The setting is hinged and opens like a locket; glass backing.
Very few jewelry items from Concord's past have found their way into the collection, probably because jewelry is almost as liquid as cash. This fine cameo from the gilded age has a history of ownership in the Smith family, and while photographs document such pieces in use in Concord, there are only a few comparable pieces in the collection.
