MarkingsAccompanying text (in file): "Commission Pennant--U.S.S. Concord/ every ship of the United States Navy flies a commission pennant from the day she is put into commission until she hauls down the ensign for the last time and is decommissioned. The pennant bears seven stars, one red and one white stripe. This one was the last one to be flown from the light cruiser Concord. It was hauled down when she was decommissioned in Philadelphia Navy yard in December 1945. She had been commissioned in the same yard twenth-three years earlier."

DescriptionPennant apparently made from scraps of bunting. Tattered red cloth, sewn to a strip of blue cloth with seven (7) white stars. End piece with iron ring (hole). Associated with the U.S.S. Concord.
